Military Inspired | Skinny Cargo Pants

I’m so glad y’all also enjoy those This & That posts!  They are fun for me to write because they don’t require a lot of specific planning, just sharing what’s happening lately with you! I appreciate hearing from so many of you encouraging my 5am wake up goal.  Hearing that lots of you get up that early or even earlier ? makes me feel less alone!  I’ll be thinking of you this morning when my alarm goes off and I just want to stay under the covers! I’m actually going to try moving the alarm to 4:45 am, because I’ve been hitting snooze twice.  We’ll see . . .  and I’ll recap the whole experiment next month!

This week, I’m sharing two relatively new loves, both of which are military inspired.  First up, today are these awesome skinny cargo pants and tomorrow I’m featuring this fun camo shirt jacket.

You might have heard me raving about these pants on Instagram or Stories, but if not, let me tell you why I love them so much. They are super comfy and a great weight that feels substantial, but not to heavy.  They have some stretch to be comfortable, but not too much so you feel all sausagey.  You know that’s a thing.  #nosausagelegs ? Some days you don’t feel like wearing jeans, so these skinny cargo pants are a great alternative.  You can treat this olivey color as a neutral and pair lots of colors with it.

They come in 7 colors (pink is on my wishlist for summer) and look great cuffed or uncuffed with booties, wedges, flats or dressed up with strappy heels and jewelry.

These pants fit TTS and come in petite.  I’m wearing 0P, but I did have to get the waist taken in a bit.

Here, I’m wearing them with a super casual racerback tank, but dressed up the outfit with a statement necklace and fun ear jacket earrings.  The necklace came in a Rocksbox set, but I found a similar necklace here and another one here, albeit less edgy. The Renegade bracelet would look great with this too.

The earrings also came in my Rocksbox, and I’m new to this “ear jacket” style, but really like it.  This pair was also in a Rocksbox, but this star ear jacket earring is similar.  These are good for when I want a bigger earring than just my studs around Jordan.  A safer bet than something very dangly or a hoop with those grabby baby hands!

This wrap bracelet I’ve had for many years and it was a gift from one of my closest friends, Audrey.  Still wearing and loving it, friend!

My favorite crossbody (4 colors similar here) is on sale 40% off in the denim/silver combo!  It’s times like these I wish I was made of money!  I love this style of bag so much, I really don’t think you could have it in too many colors!

Seeing all these pretty flowers thriving makes me wish I had a green thumb.  Unfortunately, mine is black, so until then, I’ll just have to enjoy the street flowers!

Have you already gotten these pants?!  Do you love them as much as I do?!  I’m sure you have a basic white tee, and that’s a great weekend or running around comfortably outfit!  The t-shirt I’m wearing here is this one.  It’s my fave and I have it in grey too.  Size down because it runs big- I’m in XXS

  1. Hello! I've been a long time reader of your blog and always love both your fashion and fitness posts! I was wondering if you are still a Stella & Dot stylist and if not, why? I hope you don't mind my asking ? Xx

    1. Hi Lauryn! Thank you so much for reading. No, I'm not doing S&D anymore because I didn't have time to devote to the trunk shows. I still respect the company and love their jewelry though!

    1. Hi Allison, so far, so good! I did a video about it on Stories but you might not have caught that. I've done 3 and have 1 more to go. It has helped tighten the skin, but it's still far from perfect. I've been doing the MommaStrong diastasis recti workouts to help correct that too, so with the combo of diet and exercise, I'm thinking it's all making a difference. I will do a detailed post about it in the future though. Thank you so much for asking!

    2. Thanks for the update. I missed your story! I don't have any kids but have pretty bad stretch marks on my back side from weight fluctuations. I would consider it if it would help so interested in seeing your full post. Thanks!
