Jean Skirt x 2

Is your week off to a good start?!  I don’t know where I’ve been, but yesterday I realized that my son has not just Friday and Monday off school for Easter break, but Thursday too! I actually like those days, because with him in sports and theatre, I’m getting less time with my favorite boy.  Now I just need to figure out what we’re gonna do on those days!
Did the meal prep post help yesterday? I hope so! Last night we ate the fajita bowls for dinner, but we ended up grilling flank steak too and sauteeing up some onions and peppers .  If you have the time to do that, it really makes them better.
Today, I’m sharing the cutest little jean skirt and styling it a few ways for you.  Tomorrow will be a casual look and today are two more dressy looks.

I don’t think I’ve worn a jean skirt since high school, but I love the look.  This one is a pretty blue denim with light fading and a frayed hem.  I love how even brand new it looks like it’s been washed and worn several times.
It’s also got both back and front pockets and fits TTS, I’m wearing the 0.  It’s a mini-skirt, but I went ahead and washed it before wearing so you could see how it looks even shrunken a tad.  Here’s one time where being short (5’1) pays off!

If you feel self conscious in a short skirt, you can buy a longer version for a similar look or wear boy shorts underneath (that’s what I do). Then, you don’t have to worry about flashing anyone.  ?

This first look is very Spring friendly with all the coordinating cool blue tones.  The gingham top is loose and casual for a more relaxed vibe.  Wearing it untucked helps keep the look from feeling stuffy or ultra preppy.  But you could also tuck the top in if you prefer and wear it with sneakers for a weekend running errands. #sportychic

These two-toned chambray and dark denim heels are the ones I showed on Stories yesterday.  I’m smitten with the contrasting colors and the chunkier heel makes them easier to walk in.

You’ve heard me talk recently about my latest obsession with colorful, bright lips for Spring.  This lipstick (Talk to Me Matte) is a bold cool pink that really pops with the blue.  I like these matte lipsticks because they have a lot of pigment in them and last forever, but I often put a sheer gloss over it for some shine.

The blue tassel earrings are fun too and come in lots of colors.  This is the shorter version so they aren’t as heavy as the longer ones. Those are fun too- for a couple hours;)
This quilted crossbody bag gets all the heart eyes! ? ? ?  It was a present to myself and I thank me very much! ? It goes with everything, as you’ll see with the next outfit and probably several more through the year! It’s a really pretty warm grey with gold hardware and a grey and gold chain link strap.  Maybe start dropping hints for Mother’s Day! ?

Look #2 is more date night ready with the black tunic, strappy heels and red lip.  But the skirt and bag and even the necklace, are all the same!  By changing out just a few pieces, including the ring and bracelet, you get a new look.

I’ve had this black tunic for a long time and you can wear it untucked with jeans, or tucked in with skirts like this one.  It’s super lightweight and on the sheer side.  I like it for date night because the deeper v makes it feel sexy, but the 3/4 sleeves and looser fit are relaxed and comfortable.

These strappy black heels aren’t too high, which work perfectly with a denim skirt.

The details on this bag are so good.  It’s timeless and really well made.  The ring is a stunner.  I love the size and quatrefoil pattern on it.  With such a bold ring, I kept the bracelet simple with a single thin bangle (similar).

A red lip is my go-to for a dramatic date night look.  I was super self-conscious the first few times I tried it, but it’s fun to change things up once in awhile!

Do you prefer one look over the other?  I’m torn because I like them both!  But wait until tomorrow, because I have one more style up my sleeve!
Have a great day, friends! ?
