Ripped Jeans | Dressed Down

Hi friends!  Are you making it through this week?  I piled too much onto my plate and now I’m struggling to keep up, but hopefully will get a chance to recharge and regroup over the weekend.  It can’t get here fast enough!
Today, I’m back with this new “Dressed Up & Dressed Down” series I kicked off with a super cute pair of light-wash distressed denim.   These jeans have been on repeat since I got them, they’re so comfortable, and like the title of this series suggests, easy to dress up or down.  You saw the Dressed Up outfit yesterday, and today I’m showing you the Dressed Down look.

Ripped Jeans 24 | Top XXS | Sneakers TTS | Bag | Necklace

By simply switching out the pink heels for sneakers, the off-shoulder blouse for a cold-shoulder lightweight sweatshirt, and the pink tassel earrings for studs, you have yourself a perfectly comfortable and casual outfit for running around in while still looking cute!

I sized down one in these jeans from a 25 to 24 and they fit great.  I also got the length altered, but I love a casual rolled hem to show a bit of ankle with this look. Just twist the jeans a little as you roll them so that your roll isn’t perfectly straight and smooth.  That lends to the casual chic vibe.

As much as I love my heels, they obviously aren’t practical for running errands if you can avoid it, espeically if you’ve got kids or baby in tow.  I’ve been reaching for my sneakers more and more for sheer comfort and because they are so stylish these days.
You can find cute athletic shoes in every color, but this grey pair drew me in for its neutral versatility. They are really comfortable and will go with everything!  I wasn’t sure about them when I first put them on because they have a ribbed sole inside, but after I got them all the way on, I found them to be pillowy soft and I love running around in them!  The fit is TTS.

With this grey outfit, I switched out the pink dupe aviators (detailed review here) for my real-deal blue ones.  They compliment the blue bag and add a nice shade of blue to the outfit.

You can still have fun accessorizing your dressed-down looks and this delicate long necklace is a perfect accent to the cold shoulder top.  The top fits TTS and I’m wearing XXS for a slimmer fit, but size up for a looser fit.  I love it because it’s nice and lightweight, so I’ll get a lot of mileage out of it with our crazy Houston weather.  It also comes in a pretty blue color.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this new Dressed Up & Dressed Down series as much as I have!
