Moto Jacket x 2

Hi guys! How was your weekend?!  We had a great, low-key one with basketball game for my son on Saturday, then hanging with friends on Sunday.  Next Sunday our town is hosting the Superbowl!!! but tickets are crazy expensive and we don’t have any connections that could score us a spot, so we’ll be having friends over and watching from the comfort of our living room.  When I was getting my nails done last week, I overheard a lady saying that some people in her neighborhood were renting their home for the weekend at $4,000 a night?! Say what?!?!  I have no idea where she lived, but I’m thinking crashing our family at mom’s house for the weekend doesn’t sound too bad! Ha!
I don’t typically do fashion posts on Monday, but I got so freaking excited about this little Suede Moto Jacket that was calling my name, that I had to share now!  And I already have three casual Valentine’s Day outfits planned for Friday, so today this jacket gets to be in the spotlight! It was one of those things I tried on in this Dressing Room post and walked away from, but it kept haunting me!  I couldn’t get it out of my head and debated how much wear I’d get out of it and if it was worth it. You’ve done that, right?! I’m so glad I went back and got it!

I’m styling it two ways for you today so you can get an idea of the versatility of it!

LOOK #1

The first look gives you an idea of how you can take even a suede jacket and wear it into Spring with white jeans and a light colored tee.  Knowing I could wear this jacket into March and April helped convince me I needed it in my life!  And February is usually our coldest month, but we’ll see with our crazy weather . . .

Suede Moto Jacket FIT- I’m 5’1, about 106 and wearing size XS in this jacket.  I have this faux leather jacket in the same brand and it runs small, so I’m size Small in it, but this suede jacket  I’m wearing in this post runs more TTS and the Small was too big on me.  I can zip this jacket up, but I prefer to wear it unzipped.
The quality is top notch and you feel like you’re wearing a great jacket as soon as you put it on as it’s got some weight to it, but not too heavy.  I like how the zipper detail and silver buttons pop against this ‘coffee bean’ color, but it also comes in a pretty burgandy, red or slate blue.

I also noticed Nordstrom is carrying these multistrand bracelets again.  They come in a set of 5 and I wore them all the time last summer.  A few are stretchy and fit right over your wrist and I think two have a circle/bar closure.  My aqua ring is old so I linked one similar.

In case you wanted to see the outfit without the jacket, my V-Neck Tee is super soft and comes in other colors too.
The jacket is crop length, but it’s okay to wear your shirt longer in the back if the shorter jacket makes you feel too exposed. Even the stitching on the back is nice!

LOOK #2
For Look #2, I’m wearing the jacket with things you probably already have in your closet- bootcut jeans and a white tank.  Obviously, you would wear a white tee or long sleeve tee and get the same look.  I tucked the top in to make the most of these leg-lengthening jeans and added a delicate, long necklace that my sis-n-law gave me for Christmas.

Even though these two looks are jeans, I also love this type of jacket with a boho dresses or even work pants.  The crop style won’t overwhelm you outfit because the jacket isn’t too long or bulky.
You might recognize my u-neck tank as one of my favorite things (see is styled in this post- Ripped Jeans Now & Later).  I have it in grey and black too and even after many years and washings (and dryings), it’s still held up great!  And it’s only $18! I wear US size 4 in this tank.

I’m thankful to have such wonderful sisters in law!  My husband’s sister got me this necklace for Christmas and I’m sure you’ll be seeing me wear it often!  I love this style of long delicate necklace that has some flair with the small stones.  You can wear it with so many styles and it comes in lots of colors.

Have a great Monday, friends! ?

  1. Would you believe I ordered 3 of those jackets to try and pick my favorite color to keep? I'm still trying to decide. The red is actually also very pretty, but I wasn't sure how versatile it would be. I also ordered the one you are wearing and a burgundy colored one also. They are the cutest jackets!

    1. I really love the blue one too! I tried the red on at the store, but like you, was thinking it wouldn't be as versatile. I'm crazy for this brown one though! Let me know which one you decide on!

  2. Very cute and spring-y! I hope spring comes fast! I am traveling to DC in April (Senior trip for my oldest!). There will be alot of walking…are there any cute and good walking shoes you reccomend?

  3. Love the jacket, Megan, but I have to say in the first few pics I was totally distracted by the t-shirt thing going on there. I do not understand that look at all. It drives me crazy in the same way the "pants down to the knees" does…lol. Not meant to be mean spirited or insulting, I just think it's such a sloppy look compared to the later pictures. Just my two cents. xo
