9 Must Have Undergarments

Listen up ladies! It’s a new year, time for a fresh start, and time for a major bra and panty intervention! If your bras and panties are sad and tired and haven’t been updated since 1986, this post is for you!
Even as I was typing this post up, I was wearing an uncomfortable bra (why?!?!?! ??? do we torture ourselves this way?!) It reminds me that I seriously need to toss or donate any bras that I hate to wear!  Going through your day with a bra that’s driving you crazy is no fun!  It’s like all you can think about all day is taking your bra off and burning it the minute you get home!
Even though it’s a little, um, intimate, to be talking bras and panites, we’re all friends, right? and who else can you share these kinds of things with if not your very best friends?! ?

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 /

1 //  Natori Feathers Underwire Contour Bra – Everyone needs a pretty lace bra in their lives, especially when wearing a low sweater or tank where it’s acceptable (and downright stylish) to have a bit of laciness peeking out.  But heck, even if it doesn’t show and only YOU know you’re wearing something so pretty underneath, maybe that’ll put an extra smile on your face during the day! This one comes in sizes 30A-34G and offers just the right amount of lift and support.  It runs small though, so you may want to size up.

2 //  Wacoal Halo Lace Soft Cup Bralette – If you love the look of a lacy bralette, but need a little more support, try this one!  It has a deep-v with fully lined cups and comes with a J hook so you can adjust the straps in the back.  This type of bra is great for when you are wearing a top with wide arm holes and don’t want to wear a cami or tank underneath.  I should have worn it here:

And it looks especially good with this go-to $20 this tank.

3 // Moving Comfort Fiona Sports Bra – We were talking sports bras on Instagram yesterday and if you need a high-quality, supportive bra that you can run it, this is it!  I’m a D cup and wear this when I go running, before I got it, I always had to double up on sports bras, which is no fun because then you can’t breathe! And it kinda helps to breathe when you run!  It has hook and eye closures in the back like a regular bra, as opposed to a sports bra that you pull over your head.

4 //  Everyday Comfort Bra – This one has nearly 200 positive reviews on Nordstrom’s site- love those honest women reviewers and how their site makes it so easy to read the reviews!  It makes online shopping so much easier.  I love the comfort and fit of this bra that you can wear and forget about.  The smooth finish won’t show under knits and the straps can be worn regular or crossed in the back.

5 // Best Strapless Bra – Hands down, the.best. strapless bra I’ve ever tried!  It stays put and actually keeps the girls up.  With this bra, your wardrobe options open up considerably! I’ve had mine for several years now and it’s still going strong.  I wash it in the regular washing machine and if I remember I’ll take it out and lay it flat to dry, but it’s usually 50/50 that I remember.  This is the bra I wear with anything I don’t want the possibility of straps showing, especially strapless tops and dresses.  You’ll really thank me on this one! Wear it with off-shoulder sweatersdresses, and cold shoulder tops

6 //  Wacoal T-Back Seamless Underwire Bra – This racer back is my go-to during the summer when almost everyday I wear a tank top! It’s also got special nylon that wicks moisture away from your body to keep you cooler.  It’s seamless, so you won’t get any lines showing through your top.

7 // Silicone Breast Petals – you can stick these right over your chest or wear under your super thin bras to avoid a headlight situation.  They are washable and won’t show under your clothes.  And they’re only $12!  My girlfriend loved them so much she brought them to our favorite things party

8 // Hanky Panky Original Rise Thong – For you thong ladies ?, this pair is awesome and I find much better than the low rise version that could be considered too low. They come in a rainbow of 21 colors colors and are great even under tight workout pants or leggings because they don’t show a thing! No panty lines!

9 // Natori Bliss 3-Pack Stretch Pima Cotton Briefs – If you need a comfortable cotton panty, these will be your very best friend.  I discovered them from my friend Shaeffer and even though I typically wear the thongs, sometimes you just prefer a brief.  TMI, I know!

I’m sorry if I have your attention on your uncomfortable bra now!  That’s the worst! Get one of these I mentioned and let me know what you think!

  1. Okay I need that strapless bra ASAP! My all time favorite Wonderbra that I snagged at Kohls like a million years ago just bit the dust and I think I wept a little. It was SO GOOD, yet so random. Anyway, going to check it out now. Thank you!!

    1. I have some random tees I got at Marshall's and LOVE but could never find again! I really love and wear my strapless bra so often- once you get it, you'll be surprised how often you're reaching for it and your wardrobe options expand!

  2. WHY do we deal with uncomfortable undergarments?! I'm doing a decluttering challenge and have vowed that I will get rid of the bras and panties that I hate to wear. This is a great list to help me get started with replacements.

    1. I'm so with you! Even though I wrote this post, I still need to go through and get rid of so many just sitting in my drawer that I know I'll never wear!

  3. I have a quick question. When you take photos like number 3 and 4 are you using a selfie stick? I can never position my iPhone to take a pic like this that display the whole body with clothing and shoes. LOL sorry I just needed to know how it wasn't a crazy question. HAHA TIA

    1. It's hard! I turn the phone upside down, holding it between my first and fourth fingers, and click the camera with my thumb! Takes some practice! Don't drop the phone! 😉

  4. I love how you show the bra with the clothes and how it all fits together. Usually I think of clothes as masking the undergarments, but you showed how to use them to compliment your clothes and outfits. Great Job, thanks!

    1. Thanks for saying that because that was something I added at the end to be helpful! The original post I had in mind didn't have outfits as examples.
