Thank you so much popping in and walking through our Holiday Home Tour yesterday! I’m glad I started decorating in early November or there wouldn’t have been much to see! I love it that you can relate to pushing messes aside and realizing that in everyday life there are legos and cheerios being stepped on daily! Sure there’s beauty in the everyday messes, but we all still enjoy seeing pretty pictures too!Today, we’re getting a better look at our Holiday Front Porch, with my dear friend Chris’ Welcome Home Tour! Chris is one of those people that when you meet in person, she instantly makes you feel like you’re the only person in the room and she’s so very genuine and kind. Her front porch this year literally made my jaw drop! Go see and come right back! I’ll wait.
. . . .
Wasn’t that just stunning?! If you’re visited from Erin Spain, here’s a big ‘ole Texas-sized welcome to you! Let’s start with a couple of cutie pie shots with the newest addition to our family, baby Jordan. This 9-month old sweetie pie is already taking her first steps! #genuisbaby
It’s so fun watching Jordan explore everything and see what’s new everyday. Of course, I love having a girl to dress and she’s even got plenty of hair to put bows and baby barrettes in!
I wish I could get as many cute pics with my 6-year old, but he’s usually in school when I get a chance to take photos and he doesn’t really want to be in them anymore! ;(
We kept the outdoor holiday decor minimal, and really, there’s not that much to decorate! I added fresh garland from Trader Joe’s and faux greenery with pinecones in a galvanized pot I found at Homegoods. I tried Command hooks, but couldn’t get them to stay, so I had to resort to nails to get the garland to stay put. This is two strands tied together with fishing line.
The greenery in the pot is really pretty and I think will still look good at the new year. I added some hanging bells and love the rustic touch they provide.
Our landscaping recently got a facelift and we plan to expand our small porch to make it more functional in the new year. As you can see below, there’s currently just a small patch of concrete now and there used to be tall plants where the pavers are now. At least now we were able to add a nice bench so we could sit outside!
The bells were originally intended to hang at the corner of the doors, but I like them here too.
To keep it rather simple, I added three 20-inch wreaths from Trader Joe’s in the window and tied them with ribbon from the Sugar Paper line at Target.
Two of my 5-pound Command Hooks held well, but one fell and I gave in to my trusty suction cups. Those suckers stay put for real! I swear I must be doing something wrong with Command Hooks because they never work for me.
I got a serious case of porch envy by looking at all my friend’s porches, but I’m reminded it’s okay to admire, but try not to compare! We have so much to be thankful for!
So next up on this #WelcomeHomeTour is Beneath My Heart, so head on over to keep the tour going!

I'm sorry if I'm overlooking it… but I love the simplicity of the wreath you are holding in the first few pictures. Is it also from Trader Joes? I love seeing your beautiful home! Thank you for sharing!
