Fall Dining Room Decor

Here’s to a fresh, new week! This weekend, we went to a fun pumpkin patch with pony rides, a haunted trail, petting zoo and face painting and even managed to get a family photo with everyone in it!  That never happens!  It’s been challenging to get stuff done around here with having to watch our baby so closely.  She’s everywhere and at that stage where she has no fear and can easily get hurt.   I’m always on high alert and her energy seriously wears me out! That’s life with a baby for ya! At home, I did manage to put the finishing touches on our Fall dining room and even got it photographed for ya!

If you follow me on InstaStories or Snapchat (@honeywerehome), you’ve seen that we’re incorporating more blue into our living room and that spilled over into the dining room this Fall with our blue and white vases and large chevron patterned bins.  I was lucky to find such a large, natural wreath at Homegoods and we’ll be able to store it for use again in the future.  It makes a nice focal point for our dining room and really says Fall.

The two bigger vases I also scored at Homegoods and the smaller one is from West Elm.  I used a combo of grocery store leaves and flowers to fill them and the good news is, they last forever.
Our console table has held up really well and you can’t beat the price!  We added the drawer pulls (similar here) and I love the way it looks with them and it also makes it easier to open the drawers.

This vintage wood and silver nibble tray from Etsy is an old favorite.  This year, it’s filled with mini pinecones, acorns and walnuts, but I change it up throughout the seasons.  It holds Hershey Kisses particularly well! #darkchocolateplease

On the table, I went with a ‘neutral glam’ style with gold accents.

And continued the blue in the Homegoods vase.

Again, grocery store flowers to the rescue!  I always use white hydrangeas, but changed it up this year for something different.

These look so pretty, even when they dry.

For the place setting, I fell in love with the leaf placemat and ‘thankful’ napkin at Crate & Barrel when I popped in there looking for a playroom sofa.  For a minute, I contemplated cutting out our own leaf placemats from butcher paper, but then thought, I barely have time to set the table, let alone make placemats!  But, if you have have time, it would even be a fun project for the kids.  These placemats are nice and thick though (and currently on sale).

I’m also reminded to use our wedding china and not just save it for special occasions!  That’s the plate underneath the gold dot plate from Homegoods.

We’re all ready for guests now!

  1. Love those blue and white bins, was laughing about your IG post and Jordan wanting to pull them off the console. Busy little hands these days. The little vintage condiment holder is a great versatile piece, love the warmth the wood adds.

  4. Beautiful room! Thanks for sharing! I love seeing what you come up with! Love your blog posts! Keep them coming. What color of paint did you use in your dining room? Love the color!

  5. We scored the same blue vases at Home Goods! How did you get your wreath to stick on the mirror? I've used command hooks and they just slide off the smooth surface.

  6. Which color is that on the Everett foyer table? Is it the burnt alder or the beach finish? Thank you!
