White Tank & Ripped Jeans (Now & Later)

Can you believe tomorrow we’ll be in September?!  School’s back in session and it feels like Fall should be on the horizon, but in Houston, we’ve got a good two months before we get any relief from the heat.  It’s not as bad lately as it was, but still in the low 90s & high 80s.  What’s terrible lately is our mosquitos! They won’t quit and my bites are always the size of nickels!  🙁 But even though it still feels like summer over here, if you’re like me, you’re already itching to wear some of your fall wardrobe!I have a fun Now & Later post for you today featuring an old favorite $18 tank top that never goes out of style, and my budget friendly ripped jeans from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (only $68!).  I scored so many good things I can’t wait to wear, but I’m already pulling out what I can wear now and I’ll show you more ways to wear soon.

Vigoss is a great brand of jeans that won’t break the bank.  This ripped jean fits more structured, with less stretch, so definitely order true to your normal size.  The bottom of the jean have a ‘released hem’, but they were too long on me, so I got them hemmed and lost that detail.  I still like to cuff them sometimes for a more flirty look.  I wear my normal size 25 in them, so I’d say they run true to size.
This Vigoss jean with the frayed hem is also really cute with less rips and great reviews.  I don’t have these, so if you get them, please let me know what you think!
I’ve had my u-neck Topshop tank for a couple years now, and love it so much I have it in white, grey and black!  I usually wear a nude racerback bra with it to keep my straps from showing, but it’s not a deep racerback cut.
I’ve worn these tanks a bunch and they’ve held up well (even with washing and drying). Topshop runs small, so you need to size up.  I’m wearing US size 4.
These nude strappy heels will transition to Fall easily because they are suede, but they also come in patent leather.  They have tons of colors, but the blue suede and dark red suede are also calling my name.  #yesplease!
For this Wear Now look, I tucked the tank in to show off the pink belt, but you could do a half tuck also.  The pop of pink is still fun for summer.

And my under $40 bag is on repeat this days.  It comes with a removeable crossbody strap and a tassel at the end.  It’s a great size for carrying your essentials without being too big.  Of course now I want the black one too!

How fun are these sunglasses and earrings (similar tassel earrings)!?  The sunnies I picked up at Nordstrom recently, but I haven’t seen them available online.  There are similar pink sunglasses here & here.

I know our Fall days are coming, but for now, we’re still rockin’ our tanks, and if you prefer a white tee, these are great from Halogen & Caslon.
The Calson tee is u-neck with a small left pocket and the fabric is on the thinner side.  It comes in regular & petite, but runs large so you might want to order down a size (I wear XS).  But, be careful with washing because it can shrink (they recommend air drying).  It’s only $25 and you can find even more colors here.
The  Halogen tee is v-neck without a pocket.  It also comes in regular and petite and also runs a little big, but I wear XS in it too. The fabric on this one is silkier and really soft and feels a little more dressed up style than the Caslon tee.  They recommend air drying on this one too.

Come Fall, I can totally see wanting to cozy up in this cable knit, open front cardigan.  The cardi has double pockets and comes in four colors, plus 4 more colors here.  It’s 100% cotton and that perfect slouchy soft cardi for lazy days ahead. It runs big, I’m in XXS.

If you want a cardi you can wear now, this short sleeve cardi by Caslon looks super cute and comfy. It comes in light grey or slate blue in regular and petite.  I’m in the ‘can’t-have-too-much-grey-or-white-in-your-closet’ camp, so I just ordered that one in XSP because Caslon seems to run big. I love how when you put something in your cart on the Nordstrom site, it now says, “Excellent choice”! Why thank you Nordstrom, appreciate that! 😉

Dress up your cotton cardi with a statement necklace to give it an edgy vibe (similar statement necklace here).  A long pendant necklace would also look good.

Above are my wedge booties that are so super comfortable! I bought a similar pair in black last year and wore them all the time, so I was excited to get these in grey this year.
