WorkoutRunning Playlist

How was your weekend?  I know I’ve been talking a lot about sleep lately, but when your almost 5-month old baby starts sleeping through the night (she hasn’t even woken up to eat at 11pm or 3am for the past 3 nights) you definitely feel like shouting it from the rooftops!  In my case, I feel like God saw I was getting near the end of my rope and threw me a bone because just when I really felt like I was starting to get ultra exhausted (and threatening my husband that HE was gonna have to start on night duty, which never happened!), she started going to bed without any fussing at all and sleeping really well.  I’ll definitely do a detailed blog post about it soon, but it’s only been a week and a half, so I want to make sure this is the real deal before I share what worked for us.
I’m still working on keeping up my workouts (minus that week of near ultra exhaustion and the week we worked on the crib transition).  I’m down to just one day a week with my trainer and then I usually run in the evening after I put Jordan to bed.  I have to to keep my sanity and for the mental/emotional lift it gives me.

If you follow me on snapchat (@honeywerehome), you’ve seen me jogging and heard some of the songs I listen to while I’m running.

It’s the best feeling getting out of the house and going for a run while jamming out to your favorite songs.  I know music tastes differ, especially the kind of music that you use to give you that extra push when you’re running, and my workout playlist is mostly Top 40ish, hip hop, and some Christian hits that I’m fond of from my days in the Lakewood choir.

And like I shared in this post, a good jog bra and workout clothes also help give you that motivation to get you out the door.  These colorful shorts sure are fun! They are tight fitting, so size up (I’m wearing size small), but they are slightly high-waisted, so they are perfect for holding in your tummy. If this color combo is too crazy for you, they also come in black/white or black/blue

I usually workout and run in tank tops, but this little dri-fit sheer 3/4-sleeve number has me all, “what tank top?!?!” It comes in white and purple also and is on sale for just $29 now. 😉

Remember, you can try these shoes out for 30 days and if you don’t love them, return them for a full refund.  You won’t return them though; they are seriously awesome.  You can see from the bottom of my shoe I’m definitely keeping mine.

Below I screenshotted my playlist that’s on my phone (yes, I carry the 6+ while I run) and I hope it gives you some music inspiration to help you through your next run!

What’s your favorite workout song?
