Favorite Bags Under $50

Let’s hear it for hump day!  Three days into the week and I’m already worn out and looking for the weekend!  Anyone with me?!  School’s out doesn’t mean any shortage of work for mom!  Ha!  Who knew going from one to two kids could take so much energy?!  In some ways, it’s easier because you have experience on your side and feel more confident in your mothering abilities, but on the other hand . . .  there’s two of them!  A mama alone at home is outnumbered! I can’t complain, or maybe I just did! Oops! But I know you get it!
But, on the fun side of things is still this blog and a collaboration with Nordstrom where they asked me to share my favorite handbags (under $200) with you.  Um, okay!  I have lots of those!!  And the ones I’m wearing in today’s post are all actually under $50!
You’ve heard me rave about this faux leather reversible tote for a couple years now.  I’m especially fond of my tan/aqua one since it was a Christmas gift from my parents.  These are great because they’re like goldilocks, not too big and not too small, and incredibly durable and sturdy.  The only downside would be there’s only one small zipper compartment, and no dividers, so you’ll need pouches to corral your small things.

These are my old Hinge military shorts and they have a cotton blend cargo version that looks similar, minus the side zippers.  I’ve lived in these shorts the past two summers so I’m glad I can wear them again.

This tank is cute with it’s nautical stripes and racerback cut.  Just wear a racerback bra with it to hide your bra straps.
Below is my original faux leather reversible tote, but looks like this color isn’t available now.  This similar tan tote with a braided handle has caught my eye on more than one occasion.  It’s gotten great reviews and is only $56.

See how well my tote has held up even though I carry it all the time for the last 2 years?

Love this bag!  It’s under $100!

I’m wearing the same skinny jeans (like comfy pjs, no wonder I never want to take them off!) and striped espadrilles below, but created another look by changing up the top, necklace and bag.

This cute crossbody bag is currently on sale for only $27! Makes me want to get the blush pink one! It also comes in navy.

This top is silky soft and what I like to call slouchy chic.  My mom was eyeing it big time and it looked great on her, so it’s hers now! 😉 It hides all the tacos!

My crossbody bag below isn’t available, but this one is nearly identical, maybe a tad bigger.  This
similar one might be even better than mine with it’s cute tassel and is now just $21!

I was crazy for this summery outfit!  The jeans were found on my ‘white jean hunt’ and this top is just swingy and perfect for hot days!  I like that it kinda looks like denim, but with embroidery.

This faux suede and snake crossbody bag ($60) will be perfect come fall!

But since it’s only the beginning of summer and I have swimming pools on the brain, wouldn’t this make a great pool or beach bag?  We always have so much stuff to take to the pool with us, we need something big.  And it’s under $30!

This straw tote certainly says summer too, and has tassels! But the pink one is really calling my name!

  1. Great round up of bags! I have the last beach/pull bag ordered but eyeing a plain straw tote that I want to DIY with tassels or poms. I'll be the cutest river goer this summer!

  2. I love this post because I'm a huge fan of handbags. I love that all the bags you've shown are reasonably priced. I haven't been to Nordstrom for a while, but I've seen a lot of fashion blogs with Nordstrom clothes and accessories, so I think I'll check them out. Thank you for the inspiration.
