Favorite High/Low Tank Dress

Remember a couple weeks ago when I showed you a new tank dress that I tried on in my closet?  I had the chance to wash it and wear it out into the light of day and I love it!  It shrunk a tiny bit (which is good for me), but not all that much even after putting it in the dryer.  If you’re taller (I’m 5’0) the front of the dress may hit just below your knees in the front and mid calf in the back, which is how it looks on the model online.  I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t dragging the floor on us shorties!

The floral heel I’m wearing it with isn’t very high, the description says 3 1/2 inches, but I feel like my size 6 are shorter.  Makes them more comfortable for wearing longer.

This dress comes in six colors and is one of those dresses you’ll want in multiple colors.  I’m thinking the blue or coral next.  I have to say this green is especially pretty though.
Looks nice with pale blue nails too.  Have you tried that color?

And you guys!  My absolute favorite jean jacket – the Kut from the Kloth Amelia – is back in that light faded denim color I have.  This jacket goes almost everywhere with me and is also great for traveling in.  It’s so good because it’s soft, not like a traditional jean jacket and is thinner and much softer material. Trust me, you’ll want this.  If you prefer a darker wash, get this one.  I wear mine with dresses, shorts, jeans, and really love it with white jeans in the summer.

If you’re inspired to get this dress, I’d love to hear what color you went for and how you like it!

And, I can’t wait to share some exciting home decor news with you on Thursday!

  1. I'm not a green lover, but after seeing this you may have changed my mind, haha! You look amazing for just having a baby, you should be SO proud of all the work you have put in to keep yourself healthy!! Great job!

  2. Gorgeous pics Megan. I love the green and the heels. I'm going to get it in green and possibly the coral as well. I have too many cobalt blue pieces in my closet. 😀

  3. Love! Do you think this dress would work as a maternity dress? I can't seem to find any cute maternity dresses that I absolutely love and thought I could just size up in this. Would love your input! Also, congratulations! Jordan is beautiful!

    1. I wore a lot of non-maternity dresses as maternity dresses. I thought they actually looked cute stretched to fit that growing belly. How far along are you? I think it might work because the elastic part is just under the chest, instead of at the waist. Let me know. You might not have to size up, there's a good bit of room in it, but depending on how big your belly is, it will make the dress shorter in front.

  4. Megan cute dress, very flattering for your body/build. I especially like it paired with your denim jacket. Green is probably my least favorite color so its nice that is comes in so many other colors. Thanks for sharing.

    1. It's good to experiment with color. A couple years ago I would never have went with a bold lipstick color, now I feel kind of naked without it!

  5. I loved this dress on you, so I ordered it in yellow. I ordered a small, but it swallowed me. I'm thinking about swapping it for an XS. Did you have any alterations made? Thanks for your help and fashion suggestions!
