Weekend Steals & Deals | Valentine's Day Outfits for Day & Night

Can I just say I love you guys?!?!  You had me at, "Get the pillow!!"  Even Christina said she feels like she needs a Snoogle after reading the comments and she's not even pregnant!!  Ha!  I took your recommendations and ordered one and it should be here soon!  I'm really looking forward to trying it because my sleep has been so bad lately! I'll let you know how it works out.  Thank you friends!

For this Friday's Weekend Steals & Deals, I put together a couple affordable Valentine's Day looks for day and night, but you know I'm wearing this dress to our V-day lunch next Friday!  See it styled here.  I  also browsed the sale items to find 10 super cute tops under $50!  Then, I had fun finding some inexpensive duplicates for the oh so coveted Chloe bag and a few fun Valentine's Day baubles and things that might make you smile.  Of course, at the end of the post is a round-up of sales to check out.  I'm still thinking about new styles series and I really appreciate your input and you letting me know what you'd like to see more of.  A hair-curling tutorial was at the top of your list, so that's coming soon!

casual valentine's day outfit

First up is an easy-to-wear jeans and striped top with the super soft and comfy cardigan.  I'm all about the red, white, black and leopard combo lately.  If you're not 100 weeks pregnant, you might want to add the leopard heels.  I created a round-up of great leopard shoe options here.  This look would be equally as cute with dark denim skinny jeans (on sale $44.40 and currently stocked in all sizes).

Isn't this LOVE wall fun and so appropriate for Valentine's Day?! ;)

I'm wearing white maternity jeans here, but I have to thank Tara, a blog reader, for alerting me to the sale on my very favorite pair of non-maternity white jeans.  They are normally $178, but Saks currently has them for under $100! My pre-pregnancy size (when I was in good shape was 25). Saks also has FREE rush shipping right now with code VALRUSH.  Thanks Tara!

No wonder I'm feeling so big and uncomfortable lately, the doctor estimated at this week's ultrasound appointment that our baby girl weighs 6.7 pounds already! I was surprised to hear that since she was at 4 pounds last time, a month ago.  I guess they gain a lot at the end!

valentine's day outfit for night

For the next look, let's just pretend I don't have those bags in my hand, especially seeing as how I'm currently on a clothing spend freeze!  But, doesn't it make a cute date night look?!  The exact faux fur vest I'm wearing (Size 2) is sold out, but the black is still available and on sale 40% off.  Below I linked a similar tan vest that's under $35!

If you're looking for an easy-to-wear, inexpensive LBD to celebrate the occasion, I highly recommend this Lush Karly dress.  It's super figure-flattering (eat all the dessert you want!) and you can dress it up or down, depending on how va-va-voom you want to go.  For only $48, you can't beat it- and it comes in tons of colors.  Size ref: XS.

How fun would this dress be with these heels?? #drooling #remindmeaboutmyshoppingfreezeplease

tops under $50

Why is it that you see so many cute things you want when you don't have money to spend or have vowed not to shop for awhile?!  #sigh

splurge vs. save

As much as I love a good bag, and have been known to shell out some decent money, I can't see spending over $1,000 on one, especially since you can find a similar duplicate for so much less.  I have the "save" black one below (in tan) and it's pretty good quality! This one would be even better, but I just saw it.  I've been eyeing that foldover leopard clutch for a while now too, but I haven't been able to bring myself to spend that kind of money on a clutch.  Would you?? It's pretty dang stylish! The Sole Society version might not be quite as cute since it's not foldover, but it's a great way to get a similar look for a heck of a lot less.

Splurge vs. Save on Bags

And finally, yay for Valentine's Day! I love putting together these collages and maybe you'll find something for that very special woman in your life - YOU!! ;)
