Beauty Lover’s Gift Guide

Good morning!  I’m waking up today, already feeling a little behind in the holiday department!  My cards are only halfway out the door (I still have to address and mail the rest), only the dining room and Christmas tree are decorated (I still want to spread the cheer into the kitchen, my room, nursery, and bathrooms), and my shopping isn’t nearly done!  Are you with me or ahead of the game?  I’m marking today as a day to GSD! So, after my morning workout, I’m gonna get after it today and hopefully, tomorrow, I’ll have more holiday decor to share with you!  I found some super cute things for the nursery!  Oh, and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for a chance to win this adorable “Mistletoe” print (or anything else with a credit to Always Lyndsey Lou’s shop)!
I have some gifts in mind for the girls with today’s Beauty Lover’s Gift Guide.  Surely, there’s something here that she’d (you’d) love to receive! 😉
The Beauty Lover's Gift Guide

1 :: Bella J. “Perfectly Pretty” Lipgloss Set – 6 gorgeous shades for only $29.50 ($60 value).

2 :: Clarisonic Mia 2- Pink Skin Cleansing System – women rave about this 2-speed sonic cleanser.
It’s gotten over 250 positive reviews and ladies swear their skin looks better after using this.  Who doesn’t want the gift of good skin?

3 :: MAC Essential Travel Brush Kit – I’m a big believer in good makeup tools to help make your face look better.  I’ve used and loved the MAC brushes forever.  They are great quality and last. This particular set is awesome because it has most of the important brushes you need for a daily made-up face.

4 ::  Bobbi Brown Telluride Eye Palette (Limited Edition) – you cannot go wrong with this palette of 7 eye shadow colors.  I’ve used Bobbi Brown in the past with great results (no creasing or wearing off).  In these colors, there is a great mix of natural matte and shimmery tones.  It comes with a quality brush also.

5 :: Butter London ‘Invite Only’ (Limited Edition) Nail Lacquer – how luxurious with these colors.  You’ll make someone’s Christmas with these!

6 :: Chanel Chance – This is my go-to fragrance and I always get compliments when I wear it.  Several of my girlfriends love and wear it too.  Even though fragrance is a highly personal choice, I belive you cannot go wrong with this one.

7 :: Philosophy ‘pink frosted animal craceker’ Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath – I wasn’t sure about this stuff, but it’s gotten such great reviews that I’m willing to gift it.  The ‘Cinnamon Buns’ flavor has even more positive reviews (over 200), but I was drawn to the soft pink color in the one shown.

8 :: L’Occitane ‘Beautiful Hands’ Set (Limited Edition) – I got hooked on this brand after receiving it at a blog conference.  It’s like butter for your hands and has a delicious soft scent.  It would definitely be well-received as a gift.

9 :  Smash Box ‘Art.Love.Color’ Studio Set (Limited Edition) – I have the mascara (great if you like the look of full, lush lashes and the pale lip gloss, so I can vouch for this one.  And it’s a $79 value, on sale 25% off, for only $29.

  1. I confess I've never owned anything other than drug store make up brushes. Help! Which MAC set would be best for putting on mineral powder? (There were two other choices on sale off to the side.)

    1. Girl, I promise you will notice a difference with good, quality brushes. And they last forever! I've never used mineral powder- so I'm not sure if that would require a different kind of brush. Do you notice a difference with mineral powder as opposed to non-mineral powder?

  2. This is the first year I feel super ahead. Decorated early since I hosted a sit down brunch for 19 on Monday, and have bought most gifts and wrapped them already. With that said, I have not blogged in about a month. Just posted our Christmas 2015 decor today!

    1. That must feel so good Lauren! Hosted a big brunch and have your presents bought and wrapped? Come help me!! ha! I just finished decorating and photographing the nursery and I worked out this morning + 34 minutes of cardio, so I'm counting today a win. Now off to go get James from school! I can't wait to see your decor! 🙂
