Thankful

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes on Friday!  It means so much to share these milestones with you since many of you have been with me since the beginning of my blog five years ago!  When it comes to friends, I really hit the jackpot.  I’m beyond blessed with such a great group of friends who know me, love me and support me.  At my 40th birthday party dinner, not only did they show up to surprise me and shower me with love, they brought gifts!  I wanted to share a few with you . . .
Love you Muriel!

Love you Ali-Shaun!

Love you Angela!

Love you Chaz & Jessica!

Love you Jeff & Josiah!

When you have a very sick family member, the simplest joys are magnified.  You don’t take anything for granted.  Friends coming to my birthday dinner was more than enough, that they brought gifts was really sweet and so thoughtful.  My family has pulled closer together lately to support my Dad.  I’m needed at my parents house more and more and might be blogging more irregularly for some time.  If you write a blog or read blogs, you know they are a bright escape, so I will post when I can.  Much love to you!

    1. You are right. The illness doesn't just effect the patient, it takes a toll on the caregivers as well. We are staying tight and strong together. Hugs to you!

    1. I didn't realize how much it would mean to me until I'd been at it for awhile. And when I'm away too long, I really miss it. Thanks for the Birthday wishes!

  5. HI Megan!
Sending prayers toward your father, you and your family. I understand the difficult time you must be going through.
What journaling bible did you get? You just intrigued me to invest in one since I would like to read through (most) of the bible this year. Did you receive it yet and do you like it?
    Thanks,
    Megan

    1. I did! I initially ordered a double column bible and returned it because it felt like the font (and the bible itself) were too small. I ended up with a single-column ESV bible by Crossway. The font is about the same size, but it's a little darker, which helps. Also, this one is about an inch longer, so it's a better fit. The first one was almost square, so that was weird for me. I followed one of those "1-year bible reading plans" years ago and it helped me get through it in just over a year. Let me know how it goes!

  6. It looks like your friends know just what you like! Are those Love, Hugs & XOXO tags homemade or can we buy them somewhere? I LOVE them. Prayers for your dad. <3
