Medicine Cabinet & Bathroom Drawers
Hi guys! Thank you for allowing me to dump all of my third trimester pregnancy woes on you yesterday. I know feelings ebb and flow and the last part of…
I’m in the camp that believes that my body looks better with a tan. I’ve still got some residual color from the summer, but it’s fading. I went to an…
How’s your week going friends? I’m just over here counting down the days ’til the 2017 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale like a kid at Christmas! It’s so close, opening this Thursday for cardholders. ??I got a friendly letter in the mail letting me know they upped my limit just in time for the sale- #thankyouverymuch! We’ll keep this little detail to ourselves and not bother the hubby with that tidbit of info! 😉 Are you excited?!?! Of course, I’ll be sharing my picks on Thursday and then a big ‘ole dressing room round up on Friday with fit tips and recommendations. Let me know what you have questions about and I’ll do my best investigative journalism for ya!
1. Cold Shoulder Dress $118 $50
This swingy striped! cold shoulder dress is perfect for daytime or evenings out. Love the simplicity of it and the drapey fabric. Such a steal at right under $50! For a daytime look, you could wear it with the #10 sandals (they have lots of colors) & for evening, these black open toe heeled sandals would be great.
2. Statement Ring $50 $20
Show off your summer mani with this gorgeous, chic statement ring! I like to wear it on my first or middle finger on my right hand with a bold bracelet.
3. Crystal & Enamel Hinged Bangle $48 $41
This simple bangle bracelet is the perfect layering piece to your watch or with a stack of other bracelets, or worn simply alone.
4. Blue Maxi Dress $52 $39
I’m sure you’ve heard me rave about this maxi dress before. Every time I wear it, I get tons of compliments and it’s really flattering and comfortable. It’s on sale under $40! I wear XS.
5. Peacock Iphone Case $50 $25
How cute is this peacock phone case?! Your mirror selfies will be so much cuter with this little guy peeking out in them!
6. Zella High Waist Crop Leggings $65 $43
High waist leggings will be your BFF, I swear! They keep you all nice and tucked in and make you feel great while working out. Zella quality is always superb, and this pair comes in three colors with criss-cross detail at the calf. They run TTS, I wear size XS.
7. Z 6 Ruched Tee $32 $16
Although I normally wear a tank to workout, this Zella tee is my go-to when I want a t-shirt. The seams in the shirt are perfectly placed to help the illusion of a smaller waist and I like the cut of the sleeves that don’t irritate me when I’m working out.
8. Faux Leather Saddle Bag $79 $53
This crossbody bag is the prettiest light and navy blue combo. It’s also a good size, so it will hold all your necessities and then some.
9. Striped Tank $19 $11
My go-to tank, $11!!! I think I need to stock up on the other colors. It’s perfect for wearing alone or layering under cardigans or other tops. It fits TTS, XS here.
10. GiGi Sandals $60 $42
I have the older version of these sandals and they are really good! They come in tons of colors and the “beige leather” has a snakeskin pattern that goes with everything. Sam Edelman makes quality shoes that last, so I highly recommend them!
Hi friends! We’re midway through the week and it’s flying by! It’s been go, go, go and then I hit the sheets by 9 p.m.! We’re also having crazy grey…

Hi! I’m Megan, mom to a thoughtful teenager and spunky young girl. We call Houston home and recently moved into our dream home. I traded my lawyer hat to become a full-time blogger in 2010. I love sharing my passion for affordable fashion, home decor, organization, & fitness to help inspire you to take care of you!
Love this!! Adore the little labels you had on the boxes, and the bathroom drawers made me so satisfied! I need this much organisation in my life xx

Feels so good to get organized!
Love the labels! The "Honey, Not Tonight" is my favorite. Too funny to actually read. You have me motivated to do mine. I do mine through a list breakdown too.

I cracked myself up with that one too! 😉
Love this! Our medicine cabinet is the biggest disaster and I never have any good ideas to organize it. Now I do! Where did you get the plastic containers you used?
The Container Store has them, but also HomeGoods for much cheaper!
You have got me motivated! We are a lot alike in our organizing methods. I usually try and wait until our police department has they weekend where you can turn in old prescription medication, and they take care of properly disposing of it as I don't want it in the wrong hands nor in our water/waste. I am so bad about remembering to take before pictures! Do you like having more drawers than cabinets in your vanity? I have one large draw for makeup and such, but then one double cabinet on my side for everything else. I added a double lazy susan and plastic drawers to make it more manageable. I am thinking I would love the drawers.
You're doing great! I tackled my bathroom this past week and have been avoiding my biggest challenge- our playroom/office. I'm making headway, but it is just such a disaster that I get overwhelmed thinking about it 🙂
Love it! Where did you get all your clear organizing bins for the medicine and the drawers?
Love the use of different labels. I really need to get my bathroom organized!

Very inspiring! I'm STILL working on my kitchen, but making good progress. The thought of doing my closet scares me…I really let it go over the holidays.
Looks so good Megan! xo
LOVE seeing your progress. The difference a little purging and cleaning can do. Your bathroom is gorgeous and I heart the label – "not tonight honey". 🙂
Fun! Now I need to clean out my shelves too!
I've been looking for some sort of metal tray for the bathroom counter, and yours seems nice. Could you tell me where it's from, please?
Love the washi tape on the drain pipes!! I think these are amongst my favorite posts. Love before and afters. Little changes make a big difference.
I am loving how this project is going-you're making me want to go buy lots of organizing boxes and bins and baskets so that I can do the same thing in the rooms in the house that my fiance' and I share!
I can't wait to see how the rest of it goes 🙂
xoxo, SS

This looks amazing! I love how you think of all the little details. (Love your countertops too!)
Hi Megan,
My husband just built two his and hers desks. He made one for him, then I wanted one because it came out so cool. So I need those baskets like you have in your linen closet. They are the exact color and type of basket I have been looking for. I already have some similar to that in the living room shelves for movies, remotes etc. Can you tell me where I can find them?
Hi! That sounds fantastic! Those baskets are old from Target!
Can you tell me about the clear organizers with the red bottoms? Is that tape?
Hi! I think I got those at HomeGoods but you can find them at places like Target and the container store. It’s a red plastic bottom!
