My son started Pre-K4 yesterday and when I picked him up, he said he had a great day! In the days leading up to school starting, I asked him how he felt about going back to school. He said, “I will miss you.” Awww . . . melts mama’s heart. I’ll miss you too, buddy. He was so excited to see all of his friends again and pretty hyper on the back-to-school/meet-the-teacher night. When I dropped him off today, he just waved bye and said, “Have a great day!” No tears, no “don’t go!” or “I don’t want to go to school”. He’s getting to be such a big boy and I’m so proud of him.
I’ve started waking up at 6:30, as opposed to 8:30, which actually feels good! School starts at 8am sharp, so we have to leave the house around 7:35. It’s nice to be feeling productive and to have some time to get things done in the day without feeling like my son is being neglected.
Have a great day!
Glad he had a great first day back! No tears is a sign of confidence 😉
He's comfortable at school now because it's familiar from last year. He's getting so big! His vocabulary is constantly surprising me.
Such a cute picture! Hope you all have a great school year!

Thanks Ashley! Off to a great start!
That's wonderful, that is a good feeling when they can say bye and walk in without tears! I am looking forward to early morning as well. Hoping to start the day off and get back in shape! Yay to a routine!
Early rising means early to bed, and that helps curb any late night eating I might have been doing! 🙂
Sounds like James had a great first day! I bet he was excited to see his mama when you went and picked him up. Great photo of the two of you.
Oh yes! Luckily, the first day was a half day. Good for both of us! 🙂
Too sweet!! I can't believe how big he is already!
