Later today you can find me at my friend Jen's blog, I Heart Organizing, sharing how I keep my makeup organized.  I hope you stop by!

  1. I wish mascara came in smaller containers just so I could justify throwing it out more often! I've never used up an entire tube in 2-6 months!

  2. Nice to know! I ditch my foundation and lipstick after the right time, but I'm sure I still have eyeliner from High School!

  5. Great post! I worked in Beauty for a couple of the top beauty companies and even though the above timeline is correct, I really would recommend tossing products earlier. If you still have a blush after 2 years you are probably not using it, so toss it and make room for a new one!

  6. Thanks for the chart. I wonder how many people really try and follow the toss out guidelines? I try to because it gives me an excuse to go shopping! :)

  7. Hi Megan! I wasn't sure if you were going to get a notification from the IHeartOrganizing blog comments, but I wanted to share with you here also that your makeup post inspired me to spiff up my own makeup storage drawers with Washi tape. Here's the result - http://www.the-organizing-boutique.com/makeup-storage-drawers.html. Thank you for the inspiration and have a great week!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, I read every one! I try to answer questions in the comment section since many readers are "no reply" and so everyone can benefit from the response- so please check back. :)
