Organized Gift Wrapping Station

Always up for an organizing challenge, I'm happy to share with you how I whipped my wrapping paper and supplies into shape with the help of The Home Depot.  You can read all about it over at Home Depot's blog- The Apron.

Having everything I need to put a nice gift together has been so helpful.  Now, I'm not rummaging through bins at the last minute trying to find a bow or some ribbon.  It's great to be able to see everything and access it easily.

  8. So funny that you posted this today, because I bought that exact same organizing cart this morning on closeout at the Aaron Brothers frame shop near my house. I posted a picture on Facebook/Instagram, and people without an Aaron Brothers near by were bummed to miss out on it. I'll have to let them know they can get the carts at Home Depot. They look identical, except the one I just bought has wheels.

  10. Love this!! So please tell me how you keep all of your wrapping goodies "out in the open" without your little guy getting into them all the time? (I have 5 boys, and I can't even imagine them seeing all my pretty, colorful things and actually leaving them alone!?!).

  11. Amazing! I have a question if you don't mind. What kind of camera do you use and what settings for your amazing pictures? They are always so bright and crisp! Thank you! Kathy www.thedailynest.com

  17. Great organization post.

As lovely as it is, though, has gift wrapping become such a process that a gift wrap STATION has become necessary? It seems like everything has to be so over the top these days. Couldn't we just wrap a gift in a choice of one or two papers, and tie it with a choice of one or two ribbons?

Simplicity can be a good thing. :)

For those who are trying to corral 15 different papers and 35 different ribbons, you've shown some good organizational tips. I love your blog and enjoy reading it but I just felt the need to put forth the idea that less can be a good thing.

    1. I understand your point. My love of paper and stationery spawned the need for not just one, but two carts! I love dressing up a gift and having the beautiful paper and bows and the creative outlet of it all. I feel your point more about the kids' birthday parties. I want to do a simple cake and icecream party for my son this year with just a few guests.
