Organized Scarves

We got a little tease of cooler weather today, which has me pulling out the scarves that I cannot wait to wear again! When we get days without humidity it feels like the whole city is in a collective good mood.  We certainly appreciate it because it’s so rare. I finally found a simple way to organize those scarves that I’ll be getting to wear soon too.  I wanted to be able to hang them in a way that didn’t take up too much space and so that I could see them all at a glance.
I found a belt and tie hanger on Amazon and thought it might be perfect for scarves.  The hanger has 14 hooks, therefore, holds 14 scarves:)

I think it’s a perfect solution to the scarf mess.

The hanger is metal, so obviously it’s super sturdy and can hold a lot of weight.

It’s so cool to be able to see all the scarves hanging nice and neat instead of crumpled up in a bin and getting wrinkled.  I like them hanging as opposed to folded too because it makes them easier to grab and go.

My most favorite scarves are gifts, but I also really like the Stella & Dot scarves.  They are BIG and you can wear them a million ways.  In the summer, I’ll wear them as a bathing suit cover up.  They have a cute 2-minute video showing 10 ways to wear your scarf here.
I’m also a fan of infinity scarves too, kinda in love with this one from Kate Spade.
This cozy light blue one Echo is also on my list.
Leopard from Express– yes, please!
Totally drooling over the creamy white Michael Kors.
Okay, I better stop now or I’m going to need another scarf hanger!

  1. Love this! I have mine in fabric bins. I may or may not have a scarf obsession! LOL I have one similar to the Kate Spade one that I got at the Loft last year and love it.

  2. I love that hanger. Perfect for scarves. I roll my scarves and store them in canvas bins. I can sort through them easily and see each one. No fuss trying to find a scarf to match! I love all the ones you shared, I suddenly have the itch for a new scarf. 🙂

  3. I'm obsessed with scarves, too, and am more likely to wear them when they're easy to grab and go. I recently bought an Ikea rod and hooks to hang on my wall beside my dresser to house my scarves. No room in the closet, but fun to see the scarves out with my necklaces and other accessories when I'm getting ready. Easy peasy!

  4. These are great, I've hung up towel bars in my closet to display mine. This is so much easier! I'll be looking into these for the over flow. Thanks for the idea!

  5. I need this! I've been trying out different ways to orgaznize my scarves, but this looks like it might be perfect. Easy access and minimizes how much space they take up. Thanks for sharing!

    P.S. Loving this weather! Finally!!

  6. Just today I said I need more scarves. Then I saw a girl whose scarf I LOVED so I asked her where she got it and now here it is – that Anthropologie scarf – and it's sold out. NNNOOOOO as my 2 year old would say. Now I feel the need to stalk Anthropologie until I get that scarf!

  7. I use a belt hanger as well for my scarves. You're right it's perfect, and you have some pretty ones. I can't wait for temps to cool down here in Phoenix to justify scarves!

  8. Is your closet system custom made by your builder or did you purchase a closet system? If you purchase one and had it installed, could you please list the brand name? We are trying to decide what to get for our master closet and really love yours! Thanks in advance!
