Ready for Fall?

With kids heading back to school, it’s hard not to think about fall on the horizon.  In Houston, we stay hot and humid for so long that we really welcome those first cool, crisp days, but they are still a long way off for us.  Please tell me if you are already busting out your lightweight sweaters . . .

But maybe it’s autumn for you when you start getting cozy (do I spy the Renegade Cluster bracelet?)

  1. I am loving that console table! The basket would work perfectly on the bottom shelf of our foyer table. Love everything about the outfit picture (the nail color is perfect for fall). We used to make the ghost pops when we were little with my grandparents, although we used inexpensive napkins. It has been cool here (in the 80s). Don't miss the 100 degree Texas heat!!

  2. Our fall docorations came out a week or so ago, after Hobby Lobby had a big sale on autumn decor. They were too beautiful to save until later, and here in Utah and the weather is already turning cooler. Pretty sure fall is my favorite season!

  3. I wouldn't say I am ready for fall, but I do find that I enjoy it more when I am around the plants and trees that change colors. I'm in Georgia, so we usually don't cool down until October, although this year August has been unseasonably cool. But for me, it's fall when the leaves begin to change. I'm looking forward to it! No sweaters yet, but who knows, it might come early!

  4. Fall is my fav season, and Thanksgiving is my fav holiday. I can't wait to start decorating! I just feel guilty doing it now, as I live in Florida. It is 90+ and Sunny every day. Just doesn't have the same feeling as the Midwest, where I am from!

  5. I've always loved that fashion pic! I definitely pair my renegade bracelet with my oversized watch, and I'm always shocked by the comments I get from guys noticing the edgy bracelet. Those lollipops for Halloween are too cute! This will be the first Halloween in our new house and I can't wait to see all the kids this year coming by in their costumes! Maybe I need to make these to make a good impression.

  6. those lollipop ghosts are adorable & would be a great Halloween treat! I'm definitely ready to kick off the a/c, open the windows and start burning all my fall candles!

  7. I LOVE fall! I can't wait until next weekend – despite the warm temps (no sweaters here yet), I'm ready to put away all my pink and green summer decorations and get out orange, red and gold. 🙂 I need to get a new wreath for the front door too- the berries on my wreath from last year all became white in the sun! Thank goodness for sales at Michael's!

  8. No!!!!!! I am not ready yet! Still holding onto swimsuits and sundresses! But that fur vest has my wheels spinning!

  9. I love fall, but we just got a pool so I am not ready for cooler temps just yet. I've been waiting for the kids to go back to school so I can float around in peace! I have been buying fall candles though. I can pretend it's fall inside with the a/c on while the Houston humidity goes on outside, lol.

  10. I think I am ready for Fall! My most favorite season. We have had cooler mornings lately which I love. Perfect for putting on a sweater and taking the dog for a good walk. Fall also brings wonderful memories of my sweet mom.

  11. All the garden centers have mums out already. I think its to early to plant/display mums. They only bloom for 2 weeks or so. Living in Ohio, I would want to wait till at least Oct. 1. What do you think. Its 90 degrees today. 8/26

  12. I'm ready for fall, but I agree that the weather here in Houston is not cooperating, but that's normal. Can you believe that Hobby Lobby already has Christmas decorations out?

  13. Come visit me in Canada and I'll give you crisp!! We've had a really crappy August and I think those sweaters are not too far away! I'm not ready but I am slightly excited about pumpkin spice lattes!!

  14. Not at all! I love decorating for fall and Halloween but we're moving at the end of September and I'm not sure I'll even get to decorating for the season until Thanksgiving! And I'm not ready to believe so much of the year has flown by already.

  15. I am not ready for fall because we just started having warm weather this week! I live in coastal San DIego county and it has been 73 degrees all.summer.long. ( I am sure many of you would welcome that! ) I admit I run a bit cool, but I have only had shorts on twice this summer!!! Now that school is back in session, we are having summer weather – yesterday was 90 and humid. I finally got to wear a tank top today! This is normal for SD where I think our hottest month is actually October (which unfortunately is peak fire season). I teach first grade and having our warmer months in the fall makes it really hard to teach six year olds about the seasons!!
