Big Boy Bedroom Plan
My 3 year-old son will soon be sleeping in a big boy bed. He’s been quite content in his crib (only crawled out once!) all this time. I took my time searching for a new bed and didn’t go with the car bed although I did consider it, opting instead for a better quality twin bed and “Cars” bedding.
I searched everywhere, looking online and in several stores. I almost bought one from Wal-Mart.com, but the reviews weren’t that good and said the color (Walnut) was more orange/red than pictured.
How fun! He must be so excited for his big boy bed! It's so hard to find just the right bed and it sounds like you found the perfect fit for you. Looking forward to the reveal!

My son Benjamin would die for those sheets! Love where the room is headed. I posted the other day about Ben's big boy room (You can see it here if you're interested — http://simcoestreet.blogspot.ca/2013/05/benjamins-toddler-room-almost-finished.html
. It is so bittersweet to say goodbye to nursery decor and create a new space. I can't wait to see how James' room comes together! Looks like a great plan.

great post….going through the same thing at the moment….Our daughter is turning 4 next month and we have promised her a big girls bed….so doing lots of research into where to get the perfect bed from….on a tight budget(they can be soooo expensive- and the mattresses is a financial killer)…also her room is very small, so that's another obstacle! love the look you are going for….your son is one lucky little monkey!!

So many great ideas!! We did the same thing with the WE shower curtain for Ethan's nursery.
My son will love those big boy room ideas! He's been wanting cars for bedding a couple of weeks now and I think I will finally get one for him.

Sounds like a great plan!
He'll love the Cars bedding! They're only little once so I love getting them what they want, especially when it's something easy and inexpensive to change as they get older. I love that camp furniture collection from PBKids, too. I almost bought it several years ago, but I'm so glad I went with something less expensive after I see what my boys have done to their furniture!
we just bought the catalina beds from pottery barn kids for my little girls who are about to share a room. we haven't put them all the way together, but we can already tell it's good quality furniture. Looking forward to seeing your son's room all put together!
Your colour scheme will look great in that room, love the bed you picked out too!
Perfect! Classic boy and it will grow with him.
I think it sounds cute! I love the bed choice; I've found some great deals at Pottery Barn Kids over the years-I purchased a book shelf that was priced lower at PB Kids versus PB. Can't wait to see the final room.
how cute!!! cant wait to see it! You cant go wrong with blue and white for boys rooms.
love this color palette – loving the shower curtain turned curtain panels idea too!
Great choice! He'll never outgrow it. I'm still working on my 5 year old boy's room (which you can see below, if you'd like). Can't wait to see how your little guy's room turns out!
