Step One Toward a Big Boy Room

I recently mentioned that my son’s room still looks more like a nursery than a toddler room, even though he just turned three.  Over the weekend, we took the first step toward a big boy room- removing the changing table part from his dresser.  It came right off, I just had to use a wood pen to paint over some surface scratches.

And now it looks much more like a dresser!
For now, I’ve accessorized it with a large textured raffia tray from West Elm, some books, a Target lamp, animals, and a print from Penny Paper Co.

  1. We're in the same boat at my house…just converted my son to a bed 🙁 I also bought him his first underwear, and then nearly had a breakdown…all too much to take in for one week!

  2. Baby steps are steps! I love it. So nice it could so easily go from a changing table to a dresser. They grow so quickly, don't they?!
