Little Thrills (Fog Linen Work Tray)

Just popping in today to share with you a little thrill – a “little thrill” being a sweet something that puts a smile on your face.  It doesn’t have to be a major piece or expensive, just something that means something to you and makes your heart skip a beat.

One of my latest little thrills was discovered in Austin a few weekends ago.  Whenever I’m in that city, I love to sneak a few minutes at this local boutique on 2nd Street (unfortunately I can’t remember the name), that carries all kinds of cool home decor accessories.  This time, I found a grey and white striped tray made by Fog Linen Work.

I put the tray in our bathroom to hold the go-to items in my morning routine.  I typically keep those items in a drawer, but I can live with them out when they’re displayed on this cool linen-covered tray.

The cup and little plate are from West Elm.  And I thought if I put my Cetaphil sunscreen moisturizer out, I’d be more likely to use it daily. It’s the only moisturizer that doesn’t break out my face.

Has anything given you a little thrill lately?!

  1. Your tray is really cute! I was inspired by a few trays of yours elsewhere in your home… and finally got on the tray train last month. I bought a handwoven rattan tray from Crate and Barrel (gift card!) to corral all of my husband's bathroom items and he loves it! Another ceramic tray from West Elm keeps our remotes in place in the living room. Little money spent for a big thrill! 🙂

  2. This totally was a light bulb moment for me! I need to put a tray on my bathroom counter to hold on the stuff. I started keeping more and more things out and it's looking messy. Thanks, girl!

  3. I love your tray…and this post! I did something like it ages ago about how giddy my $10 west elm striped hand towel made me and was thinking of making it a series. Great minds!! 😉 xo

  4. Love your tray AND your bathroom! I see you use Kerastase. I used it for a few years and then I tried Garnier Fructis "Anti Frizz Serum". I must say I love this product just as well and it's a fraction of the cost of Kerastase…less than $5. Just thought you might like to give it a try some time:)

  5. Love the bathroom! Did you frame your existing mirror or was it purchased? If you framed it yourself do you have a "how to" to share?

  6. So pretty!! I love how a tray makes everything look instantly organized. I've been meaning to try cetaphil moisturizer. Most break out my face too. I do pretty well with the Olay for sensitive skin, but I've heard nothing but great things about cetaphil so I want to give it a try.

  7. Pretty tray! Your bathroom is beautiful Megan. Don't you love that Moroccan Oil Styling Cream! It's one of my favorite hair products.

  8. I just got a cute little black/white chevron striped box to put on my counter to hold random rubberbands clippers tweezers etc.
What is your skin care routine? You have beautiful skin! After 2 kids and countless attempts with products I'm still searching for something!

  9. Your tray is great. A tray can make a counter anywhere. I have one of those little rectangular embossed faux silver trays that we painted a toned down silvery color, much better. I paid a $1 for
I have a bigger tray that was red, got some water damage on it. Painted it a pretty lime green color today, been trying to decide what else to do to dress it up. I have some pretty images from Graphic Fairy but don't necessarily want to put something permanent on the tray. Guess I"ll wait for awhile til I decide what I want to do.Your tray redo helped with many great ideas.
I just melted when I looked at that pic of the kitties. Looks like the Mama is holding the kitten.
