Top MAY Posts and June Preview

Bring on summer, right?!  Here's a brief look back at what we were up to in May in case you missed it.

I started off the month with efforts at eating healthier foods.  I'm happy to say we're still at it, but, yes, there is still some of this

I shared what a typical Saturday looks like around here.  I wasn't too surprised to hear that my Saturdays are a lot like yours.

I added a cowhide rug to our living room and a colorful striped rug to our kitchen.  I'm still digging the look of both of these rugs.

I took a third stab at updating our "mantle" for Spring.  I found that mirror for just $30 at HomeGoods!

And finally, we made some progress on our master bedroom, but as always, it's a work in progress.

So, what's up for June?  We'll be planning a backyard BBQ, preparing for Father's Day, sharing our Guest Room, and Master Bathroom.  And hopefully, there'll be lots of trips to the pool and keeping cool with ice cream!   Summer in Houston is HOT!

  1. You've made so much progress! Good for you for sticking with the healthy eating. Now that school is done, we need to get back on a routine. It's been a free for all for a week or so now!!

  2. Your bedroom looks beautiful! I've been trying to focus on eating healthier too and luckily my husband has been on board so it makes it that much easier in the evenings. We have a river trip and lake trip planned for June to try to stay cool in this Houston heat. Your June plans sound fun! Have a fab weekend!

  4. I went back and read your day in the life of post. I would crash around two if I did as much as you do on a Saturday. Your ability to stay on task is amazing... I wish I had that.

  5. I enjoyed all of your May posts and look forward to June! Your bedroom looks so pretty Megan and very relaxing and peaceful. I have got to make those yummy dream bars tomorrow. If I wasn't already in my pjs I'd head to the store and make them tonight. I'm craving one. Happy weekend to you!
