Happy Friday!

Ah, the end of another week and the beginning of the weekend!  Why does this make a stay-at-home-mom so happy?  Perhaps because it means dad is home too and we get some major family time.  But, truth is, I don’t dread Mondays because I love my (new) job:) Sadly, my little guy was sick this week.  He’s on the mend, but I think he felt like this image which made mom feel like this  image Needless to say, I didn’t get much done this week.  Except, oh yeah, this was the week I agreed to do some contract work for my old firm.   I did manage to complete the work in between naps and over a few late nights.   But this weekend, I am determined to finish making the curtains for my office and complete a few other projects around the house.  Isn’t it a great feeling to go into the weekend with a fresh start attitude?  And our weather isn’t hurting things.  Houston is currently enjoying those rare couple of weeks each year when the weather is absolutely perfect.  And we REALLY enjoy it after sweltering in the humid heat all summer.  What are your weekend plans?

  1. Sorry James was sick. 🙁 Glad he's feeling better. It's so hard on us mommies… but the extra cuddle time is pretty awesome. 🙂
We are going to the pumpkin patch on Saturday!!! It's this huge park that has train rides and a zoo and a huge pumpkin patch! I'm pretty excited. 🙂

  2. Glad to hear the little guy is on the mend! Sometimes it's their way of saying…"mom slow down". We too have been experiencing beautiful weather. Will spend the weekend doing some much needed things around the house (volleyball is over).

  3. So sorry to hear your little guy's been poopy this week. It's the pits! My Little Man is in the midst of teething yet again and boy has it been fun! Hopefully, everyone at your house gets some much needed rest this weekend…even if "sleeping in" doesn't happen.

  4. Awww your poor little guy! 🙁

This weekend will consist of some Fall cleaning. Ive been working the past 12 days straight and haven't been home to do anything… ugh… so… needless to say the weekend will consist of some much needed 'tending to the house'.

We are also getting that same weather you are getting, and you are right, it's just a few short weeks this time of year when it happens. I love it!
