Dishing It

Amanda at Serenity Now is hosting a blog party with the intention of getting to know other bloggers.  She describes it as “having a girlfriend over for coffee and dishing over anything and everything.”  I especially love this idea since I’m new to blogging.  The topics Amanda chose are below: Best Activity You Participated in this Summer We moved!  Yay!  Our family moved out of a 1900 square foot 3-story townhouse to a beautiful new home that we built from the ground up.   Take a peek inside our new home here. Best Book or Magazine Issue Oh how I love to read! I recently subscribed to House Beautiful, and I really enjoy their content (informative) and photos (gorg).   I also read the “Baby Whisperer” books.  They have helped me so much. colorful dining room             *via House Beautiful

What a sweet little boy you have. He's just precious!

I'm dying to do the wallpaper stenciling too. Gorgeous!

  6. I am visiting from Amanda's party. I looked at your new house and found a big ol pout on my face. How did you get MY kitchen, you lucky girl! Truly it's beautiful. Congrats!

I also found the Baby Whisperer books to be most helpful. They seemed so balanced. Your little dude is super cute, and you must be having a blast with him.

  7. I'm visiting from Amanda's party. Congratulations on your new home and becoming a stay at home mom. I'm sure your days are quite full with your little boy. I'm off to look around your blog. I've got to see the inside of your home!

  8. Love, love, LOVE your home! Especially your kitchen and closet! Where in Houston do you live? I live on the West side, near Katy. I found my moms group on meetup.com. Great way to find other mamas! It's been so helpful since we are not from the area and don't have family around. How funny that you lived in Ohio, too! I'm following you now. Nice to meet ya! 🙂

  9. Hi Megan! Wow–we do have a lot in common!!! How funny that you moved out of your townhouse into a house too. Your home is GORGEOUS!!! Can't wait to look around and see some pics of the interior! Congrats on your baby boy! Isn't being a SAHM the best?!?!? Liam is 14 months now… and I swear, it just gets more and more fun. 🙂 Glad we found each other!

  10. Your new house looks beautiful!! And the rainbow bookcase?? like art!

Great pictures of your summer & your little one is too cute!!

  11. Hi there! I'm visiting from Amanda's party.

I just love your house–congratulations on getting moved in! And especially congratulations on getting to be at home with James. I can still remember those exciting days after my first son was born. He's 19 years old, but it seems like it was such a short time ago! I salute you for staying at home with your darling James. The years go by so quickly! I'm really grateful that I've gotten to be a SAHM.

    So nice to meet you!

  12. What a cute little guy!!! I love his little tux…read your post about dinner making too, I so feel for you! Going to the grocery store with kiddos is a lot tougher than it looks! 🙂 And cooking with a little one…I learned to do a lot one-handed! 🙂

  13. Boy, is that one handsome little guy. I love all that hair. It reminds me on my son at that age.

Do you think you could come decorate my house for me?

  14. Your little guy is so cute! I'm also an attorney turned SAHM. At the time it was the easiest decision in the world. I'm not sure when or if I'll go back to practice, but for now I'm loving this new profession (though the student loans from law school are not so fun when I'm not working).

LOVE your rainbow bookcases! Wishing I hadn't just gotten rid of those 8 boxes of books!

I've got the wallpaper stencil project on my to do list also, for our master bedroom makeover….but first I've got to convince my husband. 🙂
