Hi friends and happy Friday! I’m sure lots of you are busy with work parties, gift exchanges, and holiday classroom parties today! The Friday before Christmas is such a fun…
Hi friends!  How’s your week going?  It’s been back to the grind here and working away, just trying to keep my head above float! Some weeks are like that though,…
I wanted to take a moment to give a big ole thank you to everyone who has helped spread the word about my new blog. It means so much to…
Hi friends! How are y’all doing? As much as I’m trying to stay positive and active, I still find I’m in a weird place. Yesterday morning I started out in…
Little by little, I’ve been trying to add some life to our upstairs hallway. A zebra print, large mirror and some framed photos have been hung, but the area still…
Painting the back of our media cabinet was one of the first projects I tackled when we moved into this house over three years ago. Â I chose Jamestown Blue and…
Hi! I’m Megan, mom to a thoughtful teenager and spunky young girl. We call Houston home and recently moved into our dream home. I traded my lawyer hat to become a full-time blogger in 2010. I love sharing my passion for affordable fashion, home decor, organization, & fitness to help inspire you to take care of you!
Oh.my.goodness!! I think you have my dream house. How did that happen? Especially my dream kitchen. You chose EVERYTHING I want. Subway tile, white cabs…yea, everything. haha. Love the wainscoting. What about a silver tone chandy in the living room to tie everything together? Since you are having stainless pendant lights, that will match the breakfast room chandelier too. Just a thought. 🙂
Have I mentioned I LOVE YOUR HOME??? Meow!!
Thanks girlie! I would love to have you over. You can give me some decorating advice.
I didn't notice in any of the newer photos if you decided to replace the breakfast room chandelier, but if you did and have considered selling it, we certainly might be interested. That's very similar to several fixtures we've looked at but haven't convinced ourselves to splurge on.
Our dining room came with a large, rustic, iron chandelier that's great for scale, but totally wrong for our slightly more contemporary tastes.
Hi Megan,
I had fun looking through some of your old posts and seeing your beautiful house come together.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

ughhhh! I just looked through this and am in heaven! your choices are flawless. I would lose endless nights of sleep imagining how to organize the pantry. And the area for wine . . . I knew I liked you! truly gorgeous
